Drag and drop of images from Finder still works.
It is now impossible to update to iPhoto 9.6.1, as far as I know, and Photos may not migrate your iPhoto Library without a functional iPhoto v9.6.1 present. If you did not update iPhoto to v9.6.1 by now, then the Toolbar media tool will not show your iPhoto library images. Hyphenation no longer works in Pages '09 v4.3. This is now a manual export, and then attachment process. The Yosemite upgrade broke the Share menu : Send via Mail items in all iWork '09 applications. Provided that you have the iWork '09 DVD applications updated to their last revisions, then most of the features still work on macOS Sierra.
